When going through Airport Security, wait until you are the next in line to go through the archway, then place your luggage on the belt. Con artists are known to hold up the line while their accomplice picks up your carry-on at the other side.

Be alert at all times.

When you are in a new location and need to leave your valuables, ask if it is safe to leave your items unattended.

Avoid lonely dark areas.

Have all your items labeled with your business address so that your home address can't be known.
